Why Wall Street Reform?

Posted on April 26, 2010 by Mateo

Political cartoonists sometime explain it best:

For those who missed it, here’s a more sobering, and briiliant, excerpt from Michael Lewis’ book “The Big Short”, which exposes Wall Street’s “reckless and occasionally unethical behavior at every level of the financial food chain.”

Take Action:
- Sen. Chris Dodd’s Wall Street Reform bill, S. 3217, has been criticized by progressives as not going far enough in protecting U.S. taxpayers from future financial meltdowns.
- Sen. Sherrold Brown’s amendment (S. 3241 Safe, Accountable, Fair, and Efficient Banking Act of 2010) would put real teeth into the Dodd bill. It still remains in the Senate Banking Committee.
- Sen. Chuck Schumer is a ranking member of the Banking Committee. If you support the Brown amendment, please put pressure on Sen. Schumer for his vote! Contact info:
